As we enter the new calendar year, it is time to reflect on some of the progress made last year. In 2023 we saw: record corporate disclosures through CDP, showing the private sector is taking action to measure and manage their environmental impacts; European rules for environmental disclosure take full effect; negotiations on The Global Plastics Treaty get into full swing and CoP28 ending with a potentially momentous global agreement to transition away from fossil fuels. However, the United Nation’s Emissions Gap Report that was released last year demonstrates just how far we need to go. Under present Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the world is making progress towards limiting the temperature rise to 2.9 degrees. Promptly elevating the level of commitment and holding key players accountable for their action or inaction is imperative. We simply can't afford to delay any longer in swiftly acting upon the information we have. Our network of Accredited Solutions Providers is here to help you with accelerating action. From reporting environmental risks to setting science-based targets or developing a transition plan, they are fully equipped to support with a range of environmental services.
