CDP recently published a report on internal carbon pricing in collaboration with the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition. The report, 'What is internal carbon pricing and how can it help achieve your net zero goal?' looks at the importance of carbon pricing in allowing businesses to transition to more sustainable operations, with a key focus on emerging economies. In 2021, over 1,000 companies reported using an internal carbon price (ICP) to CDP, with many more reporting that they plan to use an ICP in the near future. Carbon pricing has been recognised as a tool to reduce carbon emissions in the Paris Agreement, by the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) and by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Consequently, an increasing number of companies around the globe are adopting this type of economic incentive to help mitigate their impacts on the environment. Our accredited solutions providers (ASPs) offer a range of tailored services to help your business operate more sustainably; from helping to calculate and reduce carbon emissions to implementing sustainability strategies, our ASPs can help you demonstrate to your stakeholders that your business will continue to prosper as we transition to a low-carbon net zero economy.
