April 27 2022 - 10:00 CET - recordings available below
This year's workshop covered the most critical and emerging developments in climate and environmental reporting and action. From the Net-Zero Standard to the EU Taxonomy, new biodiversity reporting to climate transition planning, CDP Europe presents through what you need to excel at disclosure in 2022 - and lead the transition to a net-zero, nature-positive economy.
The effects of climate change are intimately tied to and reinforce a similar crisis in nature. Therefore, climate and nature are two sides of the same coin – we need to equally strive to both halve emissions and become nature positive by 2030. This requires a holistic environmental approach from corporates whose impacts lie across multiple dimensions – be it climate, water security, forests and/or biodiversity. This panel will focus on why it’s so important to approach these challenges in conjunction, and which practical steps corporates can take in this direction.
Speakers:
During the last year, many financial institutions have committed to aligning with net-zero. How will this effect investees and clients? More and more banks, asset owners and asset managers are keen to engage with companies and support them through the transition, instead of simply divesting or withholding financing. In this session, we will hear directly from financial institutions on why and how they champion companies’ transition plans - and what their expectations are.
Speakers:
Supply chain emissions are 11 times greater than those of a company’s direct operations. Some of the largest nature-related risks are also found in supply chains. Engaging with suppliers to tackle these impacts is essential to reach a nature-positive, net-zero economy. In this panel we will speak with leaders in supply chain sustainability to learn how they are cascading ambition on climate and nature among their suppliers and supporting them to take action.
The workshops deep dive snapshots include three different rounds with three snapshots in each round.
