Water Europe strives to increase coordination and collaboration, to enhance the performance of the water service providers, water users, and technology providers, in a sustainable and inclusive way, and to contribute to solving water-related global challenges. CDP Europe is an associate member to Water Europe. The two organisations mutually promote common objectives in EU advocacy for water security, and work on bringing Water Europe stakeholders together with CDP corporates, cities and regions for knowledge exchange and capacity building.
The Alliance for Corporate Transparency project analyses how European companies disclose information necessary for understanding their impact on society and the environment, as required by the EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive. It serves as guidance to companies and regulators. As an advisory partner to the project, CDP Europe provides strategic input throughout the project and contributes to the design of the research methodology and key communication activities.
The Coalition for Higher Ambition is formed of businesses, investor groups, local and regional authorities, trade unions and civil society groups, standing together to advocate for the EU ramp up its climate action. CDP Europe provides strategic input and contributes to the collective efforts of the coalition to provide climate leadership in the EU policy sphere.
The Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group has been established to facilitate EIOPA's consultation with stakeholders in Europe on issues such as regulatory and implementing technical standards as well as guidelines and recommendations that apply to occupational pensions industry. CDP provides expertise and data-based evidence from its corporate and investor engagement to the policy advisory group. The European Commission, in cooperation with the Committee of the Regions, set up the Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform to achieve the EU’s zero pollution ambition. The Platform will effectively mainstream the zero pollution agenda. It will bring together stakeholders and experts of different policy areas, such as health, agriculture, research and innovation, transport, digitalisation and the environment. CDP provides technical input in the areas of the zero pollution agenda focused on water.
CDP is part of the UN-Water expert group on climate and water. CDP is currently contributing to the draft of the 2023 World Water Development Report’s (WWDR´s) chapter 7 “Water and Climate Change”.
CDP is an assessment partner for the Forest Declaration Platform (FDP - previously New York Declaration of Forests). The FDP uses CDP data from companies, financial institutions and cities states and regions to assess the progress of global forest commitments.
We are an accredited observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), an accredited observer to UN Environment Programme and have Consultative Status with UN Economic and Social Council.
