For nearly two decades, CDP has been bringing financial institutions together and using their combined influence to push for more and better environmental reporting from companies. This approach has worked, and we now have the most comprehensive and consistent global environmental dataset for investors to access.
Every year, financial institutions working with CDP ask companies to disclose key environmental information. Requesting investors and banks can access the companies’ responses and use the data and insights to inform their own investment process.
In 2024, over 700 Capital Market Signatories representing more than US$142 trillion in assets are requesting thousands of companies to disclose their environmental risks and impacts through CDP.
We also work with investors to target companies that repeatedly fail to disclose as part of our non-disclosure campaign.
