This week marks London Climate Action Week (LCAW), so what better time to reflect on our progress since the signing of the Paris Agreement than now. The Paris Agreement’s Global Stocktake provides insightful analysis on the action of non-party stakeholders and how they can be integrated into an exclusive stocktake, which Parties engage in every five years. In 2021, we saw an unprecedented number of disclosures, with 14,000 companies, cities, states and regions disclosing to CDP. This is only set to increase this year with CDP’s Investor Signatories requesting environmental information from almost 10,400 companies, and our Supply Chain Members sending disclosure requests to over 15,000 suppliers. Whilst this growth should not go unnoticed, there is still work to be done in order to achieve the 1.5-degree pathway. More companies need to set ambitious science-based targets, calculate and reduce their Scope 3 emissions and ensure they are procuring renewable energy. Our accredited solutions providers (ASPs) offer a wide variety of support and services to help you on your sustainability journey.
