Benefits for Supply Chain Members

Request trusted environmental data from your chosen suppliers through CDP's Supply Chain Program. We provide Supply Chain Members with expert support and practical tools to enable and improve engagement with their suppliers, as well as identify risks and make informed decisions across their value chain.

CDP captures standardized, comparable environmental data from your suppliers at the level of detail that regulators and investors require – including detailed emissions, science-based targets, transition plans, and nature-related risks across climate, forests and water.

Suppliers are more likely to disclose if they can consolidate their disclosure through a trusted and standardized format. CDP's "Write once, read many" approach means a single disclosure can be used by multiple stakeholders, reducing duplication and administrative efforts for suppliers.

Why leading buyers choose CDP

Emissions reductions

Lenovo launched its supplier emissions reduction program in 2022, working with CDP to engage its suppliers to disclose their emissions. They have used this disclosure data to help their suppliers at different stages of their climate journey.

The results speak for themselves. In 2024, their CDP supplier response rate was 98%. 96% of Lenovo’s suppliers now have public greenhouse gas reduction goals, while 72% have public renewable energy goals, among other benefits.

Around 70% of participating suppliers report Scope 3 data, with the company introducing CDP training sessions and one-to-one meetings to support the remaining 30%.
