This year, we have seen a remarkable surge in environmental data reporting, with more than 23,000 companies disclosing through CDP. Among them are listed companies boasting a collective worth of US$67 trillion, equivalent to over 66% of the global market capitalization. Notably, this marks a substantial 24% increase in the number of companies that disclosed in 2022. The ongoing global shift towards corporate transparency and accountability remains on an upward trajectory. However, despite this rise in reporting across three crucial domains - climate change, water security, and deforestation - the projections from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) paint a bleak picture of our planet's climate path, especially in the context of what is expected to become the hottest year on record. To proactively address the challenges facing the future of our planet, it is imperative that organizations engage in the measurement and management of their sustainability progress. Whether your company is looking to take its first step in environmental reporting, or you’re already on your disclosure journey and looking to further your environmental leadership, CDP’s roster of expert accredited solutions providers are available to provide clarity, support, and guidance.
