Next month will see global leaders and signatories to the Paris Agreement meet for the 29th Conference of the Parties in Baku, Azerbaijan to discuss international collaboration on climate change. Dubbed the ‘Finance COP’, a major focus of COP29 will be on climate finance, where representatives from across the globe will come together to set a new global climate finance goal, and the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) will be front and center of the conversation. National governments are also updating their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) ahead of COP30 in Brazil – the ambition and investibility of these NDCs will be critical to scale up private sector investment and enable companies to accelerate the transition. Corporate environmental data is crucially important to informing NDCs and their associated national plans. CDP’s alignment with the most relevant reporting standards will enable businesses to provide standardized environmental data that fuels decision-making and action at all levels. CDP’s Accredited Solutions Providers bring together a wealth of expertise across various sectors to support with environmental disclosure and accelerate progress towards achieving climate goals.
