Ahead of the G7 summit next month, leaders from across the world met virtually and signed a new communique which aims to set the world on a nature positive and climate-resilient pathway to bend the curve of biodiversity loss by 2030 and to keep a limit of 1.5°C temperature rise. We also saw Alok Sharma - President for COP26 - speak out ahead of the COP26 conference to urge nations to abandon coal power generation and urged banks and institutions to stop lending money to countries to build coal power stations.
