How to disclose: step-by-step

The CDP Portal contains key information about your organization’s disclosure, such as which people in your organization have access to the Portal and who has requested your organization to disclose. You can also view and update your organization’s details including your logo and organization description. Learn more about navigating the Portal.

An organization will have an active request/s to disclose through CDP in the Portal. This request/s may come from:

  • Your customer/s (ie CDP Supply Chain members, also known as a ‘Supply Chain request’), in which case you’ll receive a direct link;

  • Capital markets (ie CDP Capital Markets Signatories via our Letter to the Board), in which case you’ll receive a direct link;

  • Your bank/s; or

  • Or an initiative you are part of.

A company can also volunteer to disclose as a Self-Selected Company (SSC), if they’ve not received a request to disclose. Switch between the tabs above, to see instructions for SSCs.

New users belonging to an organization that plans to disclose through CDP will need to complete the Register to Disclose form, in order to access the CDP Portal for their organization.

This may apply to companies:

  • That have been requested or are disclosing through CDP for the first time*; and/or

  • If no contacts have been added to your organization in the Portal already.

   

*Customer- or capital markets-requested Disclosers should receive a direct link to access the Portal, and therefore won’t need to register to disclose.

New users belonging to an organization that plans to disclose through CDP will need to complete the Register to Disclose form, in order to access the CDP Portal for their organization.

If your company has previously disclosed through CDP, you may need to register to disclose if:

  • You don’t have (or no longer have) access to your organization in the Portal (and you cannot be added by a colleague); or

  • No contact has been added to your organization in the Portal yet (either by a Requester, CDP or anyone else).

   

The Register to Disclose form will be available from June 17. Learn more about registering to disclose.

New users belonging to an organization that plans to disclose through CDP will need to complete the Register to Disclose form, in order to access the CDP Portal for their organization.

This applies to cities, states and regions that have been requested or are disclosing through CDP for the first time. It also applies to previous Disclosers, where:

  • A user doesn’t have (or no longer has) access to their organization in the Portal (and cannot be added by a colleague); and/or

  • No contact has been added to your organization in the Portal yet.

   

The Register to Disclose form will be available from June 17. Learn more about registering to disclose.

New users belonging to any company that plans to disclose voluntarily through CDP as a Self-Selected Company or ‘SSC’ (ie they’ve not received an official request to disclose) will need to complete the Register to Disclose form, so they can access the CDP Portal for their organization. The CDP Portal contains key information about your organization’s disclosure.

The Register to Disclose form will be available from June 17. Learn more about registering to disclose.

If your organization intends to disclose, you will need to complete the following onboarding steps once you’ve signed in.

  1. Review your requests throughout the disclosure cycle. Check whether you have any pending requests to disclose, and either accept or decline these. You may receive new or late requests throughout the cycle. Learn more about managing your requests.

  2. Confirm Submission Lead (ie the key contact point within your organization for CDP and the person who will submit your organization’s final response to the questionnaire). Your organization must confirm this to begin responding to the questionnaire.

  3. Choose and pay the admin fee (if applicable). You will need to do this before you submit your response.

  4. Set up your questionnaire by answering a series of questions to determine the correct questionnaire, modules and questions applicable to your organization.

If your organization intends to disclose, you will need to complete the following onboarding steps once you’ve signed in.

  1. Review your requests throughout the disclosure cycle. You may receive requests to join new initiatives and therefore disclose, throughout the cycle. Learn more about managing your requests.

  2. Confirm Submission Lead (ie the key contact point within your organization for CDP and the person who will submit your organization’s final response to the questionnaire). Your organization must confirm this to begin responding to the questionnaire.

  3. Set up your questionnaire by answering a series of questions to determine the correct questionnaire, modules and questions applicable to your organization.

If you intend to disclose, you will need to complete the following onboarding steps once you’ve signed in.

  1. Confirm Submission Lead (ie the key contact point within your organization for CDP and the person who will submit your organization’s final response to the questionnaire). Your organization must confirm this to begin responding to the questionnaire and disclose.

  2. Choose and pay the admin fee (if applicable). You will need to do this before you submit your response. 

  3. Set up your questionnaire by answering a series of questions to determine the correct questionnaire, modules and questions applicable to you.

At this point, you can begin answering the questionnaire as part of your CDP disclosure.

The scoring deadline to submit a response eligible for a CDP score will be in the week commencing September 14. You can continue to submit edits after this date, but these will not be scored.

The final response deadline will be in the week commencing October 26 after which point the questionnaire will be closed and Disclosers can no longer make edits to their response. You can check the key dates in the 2026 cycle on our Disclosure Hub.
